Change in water table from March 06 onward

After the drawdown of the reservoir, the water table in the Milltown vicinity dropped by as much as 10 feet in some locations between late 2006 and early 2008.  The EPA has paid to deepen wells, reset pumps, and drill new wells for homeowners where necessary.  Water levels have not declined further since the breach.  The map above shows hydrographs from selected wells - i.e. the change in the elevation of the water table from March 2006 onward.  (The first reservoir drawdown began in June 2006).  The chart in the upper left corner of the map shows the hydrograph for the Clark Fork River over the same period of time.  Groundwater levels are highly correlated to river levels.
