Most of us remember the first time we floated or fished in the Clark Fork watershed. Whether you spent a hot July afternoon on a tube drifting down the Blackfoot, or felt a big cutthroat tug on your line in Rock Creek, maybe you stopped a minute, looked around, and thought, "I'm pretty lucky to be here." Our River Affinity Program seeks to build on this natural love of place that most residents of the watershed feel on a daily basis.

Clark Fork River Cleanup: By engaging citizens to participate in a cleanup day on the Clark Fork River, we hope to expand the circle of care for the rivers in the basin and to increase public awareness of threats facing the watershed. We also sponsor and participate in different cleanups throughout the basin during the year, including the Blackfoot River Cleanup, lower Clark Fork cleanup, and Bitterroot cleanup.  If you are interested in putting together a cleanup in your stretch of the basin, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Affinity Float: For the past eight summers, we have sponsored an annual float for disadvantaged youth in western Montana, many of whom have never been on a boat or floated the Clark Fork River.  For more info on the Affinity Float, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
