| When: | 24.10.2012 18:00 - 21:00 |
| Location: | Missoula Urban Demonstration Project Northside |
| Description: | If you've wondered about grassfed beef but haven't taken the plunge, this is your chance to satiate your curiosity! Join MUD and the Clark Fork Coalition as we learn how to buy, store and prepare local grassfed beef with confidence. Beef that has enjoyed a diet full of fresh green grass is distinctly different than conventionally raised beef. Under the tutelage of local food guru Kristen Lee Charlson, we’ll learn tips, recipes and the down and dirty details of preparing grassfed beef, even when you’re on a budget or short on time! We’ll also enjoy a mouthwatering dish prepared with local produce and red angus beef from the Coalition’s Dry Cottonwood Creek Ranch, located near the headwaters of the Clark Fork. CFC is committed to sustainable agricultural practices and uses their ranch to showcase innovative methods of water and land conservation. Their local grassfed beef is on sale for $5 per pound. Place your order after class or visit www.clarkfork.org/ranch for more information. Don’t let the mystique of cooking grassfed beef discourage you from trying this tastier, healthier meat! Reserve your seat today – class is limited to 8 participants. $10 MUD Members/ $20 Non-members To register please call the MUD office at 406-721-7513, email info@mudproject.org, or follow the link below to pay using a credit card. http://www.mudproject.org/page/workshop-preregistration |
